This week focuses on the unexpected ways God works. The first witnesses to the birth of Jesus were not kings or religious leaders, but lowly shepherds—ordinary people in an unexpected place. Luke's account reveals that God's plan often defies our expectations. We might think that God only works through the powerful and influential, but God chooses the humble and the overlooked to announce His most important news.
