Most people think they own the market on truth. We often make this error as well. We think we are the most learned, the most informed, and the most mature. We think ‘other people can’t be nearly as right as I am.’ The current political climate in the US bears this out. Everybody is right and nobody is right. People, Christians included, are asserting that their position is right one (and they really mean ‘the one which is true.’) However, there is only one truth and HE is a person. It’s Jesus. If we want to make the right decision in the voting booth, we’ll want to spend considerable time with HIM who is the truth. Practically speaking, we need to know Jesus, and we need to know Jesus in us and Jesus in others.
